The role of the Investment Advisor Representative may be one of the most misunderstood jobs in the financial world. All too often we are viewed as securities analysts, mutual fund managers, or securities traders.
My vision of what I see as my fiduciary obligation to my clients is threefold: First, is to take the time to meet face-to-face with the client and ask enough pertinent questions about their financial situation as well as their personal lives to help establish goals, both short and long-term, which should help them achieve their desired level of financial security.
Secondly, is staying in touch with the client in a proactive manner since no amount of planning or prognostication will allow us to know what the future holds.
Finally, being accessible to my clients in a timely manner. lf the client has a question or concern, then I want to hear from them to either address their issue, if I can, or start a search for the answer they need.
